CHS Summer School

Summer school is for students who need additional academic support based on their performance through the year. Students were identified to participate in summer school if they did not meet one of the following criteria: 

Earn a passing grade in a core content area;
Attend class 90% of the time to earn credit for the course.

All high school summer school activities will be held at the district’s Alternative Learning Center (ALC) building at 1101 Merritt Street. Please plan to have your child at summer school each day during the hours assigned until they have successfully made-up the credits needed for the assigned course. Please note that lunch will be served daily.

Students will be assigned one of the following dates and times to attend summer school:

Summer School Session 1: June 5th - June 16th 8:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:00 pm-3:30 pm

Summer School Session 2: June 19th - June 30th 8:00 am-11:30 am OR 12:00 pm-3:30 pm

STAAR EOC Intervention Courses

These courses are designed to help your student improve specifically where he or she needs the most support prior to retaking the STAAR EOC in June. Please plan to have your child at each session every day (June 12-16) for their assigned session (A.M. or P.M.). Please note that lunch will be served daily. 

Location: STAAR EOC interventions will occur at Castleberry High School

Time: 8:00-11:30 am OR 12:00-3:30 pm

Dates: June 12th-16th

Students will be assigned to attend either the morning or the afternoon intervention session. If the assigned time does not work for your family, please contact us to make other arrangements. ​
