All State Fine Arts Qualifiers

On Saturday, January 7, seven CHS students represented Castleberry at the Area level of band competition in Robinson, Texas. All of our students ranked in the top half and higher in their instrument. Three of our students made the ATSSB Texas All-State Band. This is the highest achievement any band student can earn individually. More than 9,000 students auditioned for 295 spots in the bands. Three CHS students earned the honor to rehearse and perform among the cream of the crop in Texas band members in February at the TMEA Convention in San Antonio. These students will audition one more time at the convention to see where they rank at the State level.

On Saturday, January 7, Natalie R. (11th) represented Castleberry High School and Region 30 at the Round 4 Area Contest for TMEA All-State Choir in Keller, Texas. Natalie earned 2nd chair in the Alto section of the Texas Small School All-State Choir. This is the highest achievement any choir student can earn individually. Round 1 had nearly 900 students audition for Region 30. In November, Natalie performed with the Region Choir and placed 2nd out of 16 students auditioning at this round. Natalie earned the honor of rehearsing and performing in February at the TMEA Convention as the very first All-State Choir member in the history of Castleberry High School.

Please congratulate Jose, Rito, Javier, and Natalie for their exemplary achievement and representation of Castleberry High School.
